Bathtub Refinishing done properly
When the tub is structurally fine but the finish is gone, refinishing is a fraction of the disruption of replacement.
What this work involves
Refinishing makes sense on a cast iron or steel tub that is solid but stained, chipped or worn dull. The surface is stripped, etched, repaired and sprayed with a new coating.

It does not make sense on a tub that is cracked, flexing or leaking. Coating over a structural problem hides it for a season and then the coating fails along the crack.
The honest limitation is lifespan. A good refinish holds up for years with reasonable care, but it is a coating, not a new tub, and abrasive cleaners will take it off. If you want something permanent, replacement is the answer and we will tell you that.
The sequence on a job like this
- Assessment of whether the tub is a candidate at all
- Chip and crack repair, strip and etch
- Sprayed coating with proper ventilation and cure time
- Caulk and trim reset

What we look at before quoting bathtub refinishing
Every bathtub refinishing job starts the same way: we look at what the new work has to sit on. The honest limitation is lifespan. A good refinish holds up for years with reasonable care, but it is a coating, not a new tub, and abrasive cleaners will take it off. If you want something permanent, replacement is the answer and we will tell you that.
It is slower at the front end and saves you grief later. What we learn during that first visit is what lets us give you a quote that holds once demolition starts.
Worth knowing
The thing that usually goes wrong
Refinishing a tub that flexes underfoot. The tub is not properly supported and the new finish will crack along the same line the old one did.
You can only see about a third of a finished remodel. The rest is behind drywall and under tile, and that hidden two thirds is what decides whether the visible third still looks right in ten years. It is also where corners get cut, because nobody is going to check.
A free walkthrough is the easiest way to find out where yours stands. Book one at (678) 665-7771 or through our contact page. Igor does them himself and does not dress up the answer.

Where we do this work
Every city we cover is on the service areas page. The short version: Roswell is home base, and the work reaches across Fulton, Cobb, Cherokee, Forsyth, Gwinnett and DeKalb, from Alpharetta, GA and Woodstock, GA to Marietta, GA and thirty-nine more.
Have a look at the gallery for finished work, or call (678) 665-7771 and we will come out.
What moves the number on a job like this
You will not find a price list here. Without seeing your house, any figure we posted would be wrong for most people who read it. Instead, here is what pushes cost up or down, so you can weigh your options before the walkthrough.
The biggest driver is whether anything moves. Leave the toilet, sink and outlets where they are and the work stays contained. Relocate a drain or add a circuit and walls or floors come open, and the plumber or electrician comes back.
Further down the list are condition and materials. Of the two, condition matters more. A house that has been looked after gives us fewer surprises behind the walls, and that means a tighter schedule and a lower bill.
What we specify and why
Material choice is where a lot of remodeling money gets wasted, in both directions. Paying for the top of a product line rarely doubles its life, and buying the cheapest version of something structural almost always costs more within a decade.
Our general rule is to spend on the things that are expensive to replace and moderate on the things that are easy. Substrate, waterproofing, framing hardware and anything buried gets the good version, because reaching it again means demolition. Fixtures, finishes and hardware are swappable later, so those follow your budget and your taste rather than ours.
We will tell you where a cheaper option is genuinely fine. There are plenty of places in a house where the mid-grade product and the premium one come off the same line.

What the schedule actually looks like
We give you a real schedule after the walkthrough, and we tell you when it moves. Most schedule slippage in remodeling comes from two places: material lead times and things found during demolition.
Lead times we manage by ordering early. Cabinets, windows, specialty tile and anything custom gets ordered before demolition where the sequence allows, so you are not living in a half-finished room waiting on a delivery.
Discovery we manage by budgeting time for it. On any house over about twenty years old, something turns up. Planning as though nothing will is how projects end up months late with everyone frustrated.
After we finish
The end of the job includes a walkthrough where we go over what was done and what it needs from you, which is usually not much.
The parts worth attention are the wet joints, the exterior drainage and anything that moves. Everything else is built to be left alone.
If something needs looking at later, call. Knowing what is behind the finish is worth something, and we do.
Questions people ask
How long does a refinished tub last?
Years with reasonable care, but it is a coating rather than a new tub. Abrasive cleaners will take it off faster than anything else.
Can you refinish a cracked tub?
No. Coating over a crack hides it for a season and then fails along the same line. If the tub flexes or leaks, replacement is the honest answer.
Can you convert a tub to a walk-in shower?
Yes, and it is one of the more common requests we get. The work involves the drain, the waterproofing and usually some framing, which is why it matters who does it.
Who is actually on site?
Our own crew and Igor in person. A big remodeling outfit sends whoever is free that week. We keep the job with the people who already know your house.
How do we get started?
Reach us at (678) 665-7771 or through the contact page. We will find a time to see the space in person. There is no charge for that visit and nobody will lean on you to sign.
Do you handle permits?
Yes. You will not be asked to go down to the county office. When the work needs a permit, such as an addition, a structural change or most plumbing and electrical moves, we pull it and handle every inspection.
Let us take a look at your bathtub refinishing project
Start with a walkthrough. Call (678) 665-7771 or reach us through the contact page, and Igor will come out, look at the space as it is, and tell you plainly what the scope looks like. A job like this takes over part of your house for weeks, so it helps that the people you meet on day one are the same people finishing the job.
