Renovated living space with a stone fireplace and an open staircase in Sandy Springs

Fulton County, GA

Sandy Springs’s general contractor

Sandy Springs sits between the perimeter and the river and has some of the oldest post-war housing stock in the north metro.

The houses in Sandy Springs

Mid-century ranches and split levels are common, and they respond very well to opening up a wall between kitchen and living space. Many still have original baths, and the plumbing behind them is usually the first thing we look at.

Housing here runs from prewar cottages near the Roswell square to nineties subdivisions and new infill on the Alpharetta side. The older stock usually needs framing and plumbing corrections before anything decorative happens.

We are based in Roswell, which puts Sandy Springs comfortably inside our working radius. Sandy Springs sits in Fulton County, and the rest of that county is on the county page.

How we work

Before 2021, Igor Dubovoy worked for a company doing something like five hundred remodels a month. Twenty years in the trade had taught him what good work looks like, and that was not it. He started SSRGA to prove a smaller shop can outbuild a bigger one when it is not chasing throughput.

There is a ceiling on how many projects we take at once, and we hit it on purpose. Volume is what Igor left behind.

How a job actually runs

First visit

Igor walks the space, asks what you actually use the room for, and gives you a straight answer about scope. Some jobs are smaller than people fear. Some are bigger. You get the real version either way.

Opening it up

The moment demo starts, the house tells you what it has been hiding. We document what we find, explain what it means for the job, and fix it properly rather than working around it.

Finishing it right

The last ten percent is where most remodels fall apart. Trim that does not quite meet, caulk lines that wander, a door that never closes square. That part gets the same attention as the framing.

How scope drives cost

Two versions of the same project can differ enormously depending on choices that have nothing to do with what you can see at the end.

Changing where things are, how the house is framed or how big it is drives most of the price. Material selections matter, but on a typical job they are the smaller part of the total.

We will lay out where those decision points are for your project, including where spending more genuinely buys you something and where it does not.

Seeing more of it

Every photograph on this site is a job we did. There are a lot more of them on the gallery page, sorted by the kind of work, including the construction stages most portfolios leave out.

Specifying the job

We spend more time on the layers you will never see than on the ones you will. Underlayment and membrane choices rarely come up in a showroom, yet they decide whether a finish lasts ten years or fails early.

So we specify the hidden layers to a standard and let the visible layers follow your budget. That is not a sales position, it is just where the risk actually sits.

If you have already bought materials, bring us in before installation rather than after. Some products are much harder to install well than others and it is better to know in advance.

Working with a small shop

At a large company your questions pass through an office before they reach anyone holding a tool. Here they go to Igor, who is on site and knows the answer because he is doing the work.

Size also decides how many projects we accept. Igor watched a high-volume shop book more than its crews could do well, so overbooking is the one habit we avoid. When we are full, you get the truth and a date we can actually hit.

The crew that starts your project finishes it. That continuity matters more than most people expect on work that runs for weeks.

Timeline and disruption

Remodeling is disruptive, and pretending otherwise helps nobody. What we can control is whether it is predictable.

You get a schedule with real dates, the same crew throughout, and a heads up when anything shifts. Materials are ordered ahead of demolition so waiting happens before your house is open rather than during.

The site gets swept at the end of each day and dust control goes up before the work starts, not after somebody complains.

Looking after the work

A finished remodel is not maintenance free, but the list is short and most of it is easy.

Look at the shower and tub sealant every so often and replace it when it cracks. Make sure gutters and downspouts are flowing. Keep the bath fan and any filters clean, and that covers most of it.

You get that list from us at handover, specific to your project. If you notice a problem down the road, tell us about it. Living with it is the last thing we want for you.

Where this is

Questions people ask

Will we be able to live in the house during the work?

Usually, if the work is limited to one room. Whole-house remodels and big additions are a different story, and Igor will give you a straight answer at the walkthrough about whether moving out makes sense.

Do you handle permits?

We do. Anything that changes structure, adds space or moves most plumbing and electrical needs a permit, and we take care of the application and the inspections so you do not have to.

Who is actually on site?

You will see the same faces from the first day to the last. Igor is there on the job himself, so the person who planned the work is the one checking it.

How do we get started?

Call (678) 665-7771 or send a message through the contact page and we will set up a walkthrough. It costs nothing and there is no pressure attached to it.

How long does a project like this take?

The part that stretches a schedule is usually hidden: rot under a tub, old wiring, framing that was never right. That is why the timeline comes after the walkthrough, and why we tell you right away if something we uncover changes it. Bathrooms are typically a few weeks, whole homes several months.

What happens if you find something unexpected?

We stop and show you, the same day, with photos and our plan for fixing it. Nothing goes back behind drywall until you know what is there.

Let us come look at your Sandy Springs project

Send a note through the contact page or call (678) 665-7771. Igor will look at the space, hear what you have in mind, and give you a plain answer on scope. If we are booked, we will say so up front. Taking on more than a crew can do well is exactly what went wrong at the company he left.
