Vanity Replacement done properly
Changing a vanity is often the highest-impact thing you can do in a bathroom for the effort involved.
What this work involves
Most vanity swaps are contained work: old unit out, plumbing adjusted for the new drain and supply positions, new cabinet set and scribed to the wall, top set and sealed.

The wall is where it gets interesting. Older bathrooms rarely have flat walls, and a factory-straight cabinet against a wavy wall shows every gap. Scribing the filler strips is what separates a clean install from an obvious one.
If you are going wider or moving to a vessel or wall-hung unit, the plumbing usually has to move and the wall may need blocking. Worth knowing before you buy the vanity.
The sequence on a job like this
- Old vanity and top removal
- Drain and supply adjusted to the new unit’s positions
- Cabinet set level and scribed to the wall, blocking added for wall-hung units
- Top set and sealed, faucet and drain fitted, backsplash and caulk

What we look at before quoting vanity replacement
Every vanity replacement job starts the same way: we look at what the new work has to sit on. If you are going wider or moving to a vessel or wall-hung unit, the plumbing usually has to move and the wall may need blocking. Worth knowing before you buy the vanity.
That is the difference between a number you can rely on and one that moves the moment the first wall comes open. We would rather find the complication at the walkthrough than discover it in week two.
Worth knowing
The thing that usually goes wrong
A wall-hung vanity anchored without blocking. Drywall anchors and a loaded vanity are a bad combination.
You can only see about a third of a finished remodel. The rest is behind drywall and under tile, and that hidden two thirds is what decides whether the visible third still looks right in ten years. It is also where corners get cut, because nobody is going to check.

What moves the number on a job like this
There is no published price because there is no honest way to price a remodel sight unseen. Knowing what drives cost is more useful at this stage anyway, and it helps you decide how big a project you want before we visit.
The biggest driver is whether anything moves. Leave the toilet, sink and outlets where they are and the work stays contained. Relocate a drain or add a circuit and walls or floors come open, and the plumber or electrician comes back.
Next comes the state of the house itself. A well-kept home costs less to remodel than a neglected one, and hidden problems behind the finishes move the schedule more than your choice of tile or fixtures ever will.
What the schedule actually looks like
We give you a real schedule after the walkthrough, and we tell you when it moves. Most schedule slippage in remodeling comes from two places: material lead times and things found during demolition.
Lead times we manage by ordering early. Cabinets, windows, specialty tile and anything custom gets ordered before demolition where the sequence allows, so you are not living in a half-finished room waiting on a delivery.
Discovery we manage by budgeting time for it. On any house over about twenty years old, something turns up. Planning as though nothing will is how projects end up months late with everyone frustrated.

What it is like to have us here
Predictable hours, the same faces, and a site that gets cleaned before we leave. Floor protection and dust barriers go in before work starts.
You will know who is coming and roughly when. If a subcontractor is on site for a day, you will know that in advance too.
Questions get answered directly. There is no chain of communication to work through, because the person doing the work is the person you have been talking to since the walkthrough.
Looking after the work
A finished remodel is not maintenance free, but the list is short and most of it is easy.
The sealant joints in wet areas are the first thing to watch, because they take the most movement. For exterior work, the job is keeping water moving away from the house. Mechanical items mostly need clean filters and clear vents.
When the work is done, we walk you through the upkeep in person. Later on, if a joint opens up or something behaves strangely, let us know and we will come look.
Questions people ask
Will a new vanity fit the old plumbing?
Usually, with adjustment. Going wider or moving to a vessel or wall-hung unit generally means the supply and drain positions change, which is worth knowing before you buy.
Why do gaps show at the wall?
Because bathroom walls are rarely flat. A factory-straight cabinet against a wavy wall shows every gap unless the filler strips are scribed to fit, which is what separates a clean install from an obvious one.
Can you convert a tub to a walk-in shower?
Yes, and it is one of the more common requests we get. The work involves the drain, the waterproofing and usually some framing, which is why it matters who does it.
Who is actually on site?
Igor, along with the crew that started your job. He works on site instead of managing a dozen projects from a phone, which is the whole reason the company is kept small.
How long does a project like this take?
We will not give you a timeline over the phone, because the honest answer depends on what is behind the walls. Once we have walked the job, you get dates. A single bathroom tends to land in the few-weeks range, and full remodels take months.
What happens if you find something unexpected?
You get a call that same day, with photos. We explain what we found and how we want to handle it, and nothing gets covered up without your knowledge.
