DeKalb County, GA
Dunwoody’s general contractor
Dunwoody has a large stock of sixties and seventies housing on wooded lots, much of it in established neighborhoods.
The houses in Dunwoody
Split levels and two-story colonials from that era, frequently with original kitchens and baths. Opening up the kitchen and updating baths accounts for most of the work here.

Inside the perimeter the houses are older and smaller, and the work is usually about making an existing footprint function better rather than adding to it.
We are based in Roswell, which puts Dunwoody comfortably inside our working radius. Dunwoody sits in DeKalb County, and the rest of that county is on the county page.
What we do in Dunwoody
Eight categories, forty-six services, all of it available here.

How we work
SSRGA exists because of something Igor Dubovoy watched happen. He had been in the trade twenty years, most recently at an outfit turning out roughly five hundred remodels a month, and quality slid as the volume climbed. In 2021 he left to build a smaller shop that could beat that operation on the work itself.
The company is deliberately small. That is not a limitation we are apologizing for, it is the reason the work holds up.
How a job actually runs
A walkthrough, not a sales call
We start by looking at the space together. You tell us what is bothering you about it and what you want instead; we tell you what is realistic, what it takes, and where the money actually goes.
Demo, then an honest conversation
Once things are open we can see the framing, the substrate and whatever the last crew left behind. Anything we find gets shown to you with a plan attached, not buried under new drywall.
The build, run on a schedule you can see
Same crew, predictable days, the space swept before we leave. Remodeling is disruptive enough without wondering whether anyone is showing up.

Where the money actually goes
We are happy to talk money, and we will go through it line by line at the walkthrough. We just will not put a number on a job we have not seen, since that number would not mean anything.
The largest variable is almost always whether things move. Keeping the layout keeps the mechanical work small. Changing it means drains, vents, circuits and often framing.
After layout, the next factor is condition behind the walls and under the floors. We do our looking up front, at the walkthrough, so the quote reflects the house you actually have.
Seeing more of it
For a closer look at what we build, the gallery sorts our photos by category, and it includes the half-finished stages, because what goes in before the finish is what you are really paying for.
What we specify and why
Material choice is where a lot of remodeling money gets wasted, in both directions. Paying for the top of a product line rarely doubles its life, and buying the cheapest version of something structural almost always costs more within a decade.
Our general rule is to spend on the things that are expensive to replace and moderate on the things that are easy. Substrate, waterproofing, framing hardware and anything buried gets the good version, because reaching it again means demolition. Fixtures, finishes and hardware are swappable later, so those follow your budget and your taste rather than ours.
We will tell you where a cheaper option is genuinely fine. There are plenty of places in a house where the mid-grade product and the premium one come off the same line.

Who you will be dealing with
You deal with the same people from the first walkthrough through the final punch list. There is no handoff from a salesperson to a project manager to a crew who have never seen the file.
Igor runs the jobs from the site. If something needs a decision, it gets made by someone standing in the room looking at the actual condition.
We keep the number of simultaneous projects deliberately low. It is the entire reason the company exists and it is not something we are planning to grow out of.
What gets inspected
Anything structural, most mechanical work, and every addition. We pull the permits, schedule the inspections and are on site for them.
Contractors who work around permitting are avoiding scrutiny, and the scrutiny is the point. The details inspectors look hardest at are the ones that cause real failures.
It also protects you later. Unpermitted work surfaces at the worst possible moment, which is usually when you are selling or making a claim.
Looking after the work
A finished remodel is not maintenance free, but the list is short and most of it is easy.
Check the caulk in showers and around tubs now and then, since that joint flexes more than anything else in the room. Outside, keep gutters and drains clear. Clean filters and vents on anything mechanical.
Those care notes come with the finished job, so you are not left guessing. If anything seems off months later, call us. We would much rather come take a look than have you put up with it.
Where this is
Questions people ask
Who is actually on site?
You will see the same faces from the first day to the last. Igor is there on the job himself, so the person who planned the work is the one checking it.
Do you handle permits?
We do. Anything that changes structure, adds space or moves most plumbing and electrical needs a permit, and we take care of the application and the inspections so you do not have to.
What happens if you find something unexpected?
We stop and show you, the same day, with photos and our plan for fixing it. Nothing goes back behind drywall until you know what is there.
Will we be able to live in the house during the work?
It depends on how much of the house is torn open at once. One room at a time, yes in most cases. For full remodels and larger additions, we talk it through honestly at the walkthrough.
How long does a project like this take?
Longer than the TV shows suggest, and shorter than most people fear once it is planned properly. A bathroom generally runs a few weeks. A whole-house remodel runs months. After Igor sees the space you get an actual schedule, and you hear from us the moment anything pushes it.
How do we get started?
Tell us a little about the project by phone at (678) 665-7771 or through the contact page, and we will schedule a walkthrough. It is free, and what you decide afterward is entirely up to you.
